Good a.m., all -
Beni moves to outpatient at hotel near doc this afternoon, Foley in tow. Removals of Foley, packing, etc. slated for Big Monday, whoo hoo!
She continues very well/no complications at all tho sleeps most of the daytime still. I have passed on to her all yr goodwishes as she cannot yet situp to Compute...
Post-op tips observed by moi 4 those someday following her footsteps:
Most important - try to eat as much of the food even when you DO NOT wanna (nausea aside). Food helps ya heal faster. Ignore the 'not hungry' signals from a sleeping tummy and imbibe anyway for speedier recovery!
...worried cause you are breaking sweats at night?? Welcome to menopause, girls! They likely will cease when your estrogen is resumed but nite sweats DO NOT indicate a fever. Yr just a hot woman now!
Beni shared with me a joyous song by the new rock/pop artist we're both wild about, Missy Higgins. She said just before surgery that it made her think of The Day approaching. If you can locate 'Unbroken' online give a listen, it's also on iTunes.
If not, a few lines I lifted for youall for inspiration:
inevitably, what we used to be will
Succumb to the pull of gravity
And you will never, no you will never see with virgin eyes again
Cos this is the day that everything changes
And your world stops turning, running straight,
Into the break lights, you've come to nothing
This is the day that everything changes and your worlds collide
You know in time you'll wake to find you're a little unbroken
...Happyday
- Diane
Remind her that she shouldn't do the happy dance quite yet. At least not until she gets the packing and stuff removed!
Diane, thank you for keeping us updated on Beni's condition. And tell her she is in our thoughts and prayers!
-Sandy
I concur with Sandy, Diane. Tell her we are all happy for her and thinking of her.
Nichole
Give her all of our love and lots of hugs.
