"Bold, honest and tinged with a healthy dose of levity, Gwen Haworth's film,
"She's A Boy I Knew" (showing at the Fairy Tales International Film
Festival), is an excellent jumping-in point for coming to an understanding
of transsexualism and seeing it with a human face -- as well as witnessing
the dramatic changes that others also experience when confronted with the
reality of a transgender loved one. Not just a "transgender movie," "She's

identity, through the raw and frank experiences of the director and her
