A VP Pick We Can All Believe In

Steve Ralls, huffington post

Unlike former Georgia Senator Sam Nunn, who invented and long-propped up the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law, it is a name that should be more than welcome in the LGBT community. And unlike former North Carolina Senator John Edwards, it is a name that would have little problem bringing along Hillary's core group of supporters - especially white women - to the Obama campaign.

Article goes on to mention retired Army General Claudia Kennedy and the merits of such a nomination. Interesting choice, especially for the times.

Perhaps, but what states does she bring, what kind of possible McCain supporters does she bring.  I still think Westley Clark would be better.

If you cannot stand military deployments now, just wait until Clark can weasel his way in. Blech. If he picks Clark, I am staying home on election day.

Well all of this is a) premature, and b) immaterial.  The veep was never picked until the convention and in the past, people tended not to care as the job was nothing more than drinking bourbon and branch with the good old boys and girls in the Senate and going to funerals.

If he is going to release this ahead of time (a bad idea I think) then he ought to release the entire cabinet or at least the big five, AG, Defense, HHS, Labor, and State and let them run as a team.
