Last but not least, in terms of global predictions, I think 2008 will be the year of the ->-bleeped-<- – transsexual and transgender rights are taking up an increasing amount of space and attention in the media and in community discourse, and it's about time. I hope we'll see positive developments that will increase access to medical services and decrease the hassles that most transfolk have to face in their everyday lives, whether we're talking about school registration systems that won't change someone's name or general societal cluelessness about trans people's needs and rights.
