I'm not a quitter, but my lifestyle has made it so that I cannot frequent these forums for a while. But I'm not permanently leaving... Just hope my account doesn't die in the meantime. There's a long list of reasons why I won't be posting here for a while (and haven't been, I've been gone for a long time) but I do hope to return and perhaps blog about or discuss what's going on...
I was preliminarily diagnosed with GID... another counselor has set me up for some anxiety classes (a separate issue, but it affects the dysphoria). During all of this, I will have blood tests to test my actually genotype (XX or XY or something else freaky like XXX or XO, who knows) and either the gyno or my general doctor will test for my hormone "levels" to see whether or not I am at a "stable place." This test is supposed to help determine whether my dysphoria is really GID or just an imbalance (and it can be both; if I had an imbalance and we corrected it and I still had dysphoria, we'd have to investigate GID again). You all know why GID is what I have to hunt for; it's the only way I could legally and safely transition. And my truly honest feeling is that I have GID or something very similar.
With that all aside, I won't be here for a while, but I will come back and update the major steps in my process, whether that's a step closer to or further than GID. Whether or not the doctors think I have a valid disorder, I'll probably always be transgendered. Hope I didn't worry anyone and hope you're all doing well.

Oh well, I understand, and I hope after all the tests and shrinking-of-ze-head and everything else, things work out. I'll just have to keep reading all your back-posts in the meantime.
