Title: Why does love hurt so much?
Post by: Nero on June 27, 2008, 12:18:49 PM
Really? Requited or unrequited, it hurts. Requited love hurts when the person goes to the ground among other situations.
Unrequited love hurts for the obvious reasons.

Love is hell and I wish I were a person who couldn't experience it.

Well the J. Giles Band sold a few million copies of "Love Stinks" so your not alone.

I would guess that's because nothing that is easy is worthwhile, and nothing worthwhile is easy.  In some ways, the more you pay, the more it's worth.

A sixty-four thousand dollar answer, Nero.

Why? Because love is so very precious.

Unrequited doesn't hurt as much though, I think. At least I can be happy that they are happy.

I compare life to love. They have their similar events and ups and downs, and happenings.

Sometimes we get hurt because we have a soft heart.  I tried hardening mine for a longtime, after hormones I could no longer control it.  It doesn't work anyway.

Have you read Wuthering Heights?  Unrequited love hurts, and your love's happiness I'm not sure is enough consolation.  Perhaps if you've moved on from them, but then its not quite unrequited love anymore.

Love is just about the most intense emotion you can feel, and that makes it either heaven or hell to experience.  If it didn't have the power to hurt then it wouldn't have the power to cause such intense joy as well.
I'm sorry Nero that you're in so much pain, *hugs* hang in there.  :)
