It's Easier to make a Hole than a Pole

That's the infamous saying of one surgeon, when asked why so many
Intersexed infants were surgically assigned as female shortly after
birth.

Surgeons are not monsters, and if gender is completely malleable at
birth, he has a point. It's far easier and more effective to construct
approximately female genitalia from the ambiguous mess that sometimes
results in some cases.

I actually dont see any reason to perform surgeries on a child unless the child has some sort of life threatening condition where surgery is the only option.

Well, they need to figure out them poles!

In the mean time, I think that it isn't necessary to "choose" a sex for an intersexed child, because later in life that could be a problem hormonally and physically. I think they should leave it be, let them grow... if there were more intersexed children untouched, I think society would better adjust to the idea.

Ditto. They can have a pole and secret Zelda passageway down there. Its really their choice and either surgery, or circumcision is not their parents freakin' choice. I mean... They get on our case for tattoos and piercings when they like... Chop our foreskin and have a guy suck the blood. Or just have Dr. Stupid do it and "accidentally" chop the little thing off, and go, "WHOOOPSSSIEEEE."

Probably cause they secretly know that the kid is more... Endowed. Maybe it forms some jealousy that compels them to do so. Or they're retarded, or too sweaty. Really not worth the risk...

I mean. If their urinary function is affected, then yes, operate. Deerrrr.
