 Just for fun I was wondering if you diet or changed your eating lifestyle when you started HRT? What works for you and doesn`t work? What does your diet consist of?
  For me I went vegan, and if I workout at  least twice a week and watch my carbs ,I loose weight. I eat nuts, berries, fresh fruit and vegies, steamed vegies, whole grain bread , beans and lentils, and of corse, fake meat. I`ve never felt better and the groceries are pretty cheap this way.
   I have lost 35 lbs and looking to loose about 20 more.

Great to hear from another vegan! I can't really answer your question since I'm not on HRT yet but I'd just like to help.
Be careful with fake meats, some of them are just as bad as regular meat! Read the label when you buy it because if it has tons of saturated fats, you're just killing your arteries. The best fake meats are made from tofu. Both soy and tofu meats have protein in them, but soy meats often have high amounts of saturated fat. The good fat you want is monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. You probably did your research I'm sure, but no one ever told me that when I went vegan, it's something I would have loved to know.

  Hi trapthavok. A lot of fake meat is very bad . I can`t remember reading a lable that doesn`t have hydroginated oils in it. The fake meat is to get through my begining stages . I do good to myself with my own blake bean burgers and brown rice meat balls. ;D Thanks for shareing

That's great to hear! I'm glad you're just using it to transition like I did, unlike my dad who still has to have it at least twice a week and my sister who needs her weekly box of "chicken nuggets." I get concerned when people mention fake meat but I'm glad you're using it correctly :)

Stop talking about all your food!! It sounds so good, you're making me jealous. I got my family to go vegetarian, but it seems like the brunt of what we eat is carbs and veggie chips (gross!) I can't wait til I move out and I can make all the delicious things it sounds like you're making.

I went primarily vegan after surgery and completely stopped buying meat, diary, and eggs at the store.  I'm not too picky when I'm visiting someone, I don't like to be a hassle, but otherwise I am fairly restrictive.

Being vegan has prompted me to learn a lot of new recipes.  I generally cook dinner five times a week because it cuts down on my food expenditures rather then buying pre-made meals.  I buy my tofu from Whole Foods ($1.49 each) and always have veggies in the freezer.

Ideally, I aim for meals without pasta and always include protein with dinner.  I drink a decent amount of soymilk too.

ummmm well im like into eating healthy a lot but lately ive been like RAVENOUS so ive been eatoing like crud but usually i eat healthy foods. so i guess since hrt ive kinda laxed on that a bit but i didnt make like any MAJOR changes to my diet. ;)

If there is ever a diet i will go on, it will be by force. It is called "living on minimum wage"
