ENDA Still an Open Wound for Trans Community, Allies

ENDA, which originally included trans people, dropped them because U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., believed the bill would be impossible to pass with their inclusion.

So, if it would never have got by GW's desk, then why take out Gender Identity/Expression. To leave GI/E in would show that we, in the LBGTQ, strength in that we are one and not separate. Now, we are all argueing about ENDA and we can't get over it. HRC is trying in their way to put a bandaid on our gashing wound. The HRC is just going about it all wrong, especially when you consider their history. The HRC really does have a chance to turn this whole thing around, but they are not doing it.
HRC wanted to be able to say: Look, WE got it to pass here now give us more monies now. It was for fund raising, pure and simple and until the T community can gather some huge backers and the old guard at HRC dies off things will not change.

I was at the Left Out party in SF. The signs I saw told me they are a deeply conservative organization. Having been a broadcaster, I noticed the special accredited media identification cards the bona fide media received. And their hired security roughly ejecting 63-year-old Catherine Cusic smells to me how a tightly-run republican organization would condone handling of events and people they believed to be disruptive of their team's goals.
It boils down to ethics. Would any of the HRC board members condone treating 'disruptive' family members in that way? Then why is it okay in this venue? And where else is it okay to behave in such a ruthless manner?
