In 1989, Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger appointed Elaine
Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, to the
Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services.

In 1992, President George H.W. Bush appointed her to the Presidential
Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces.

I love the way Lester Kinsolving spins his analysis of the Post piece. He also fails to mention that Ms. Donnelly has "served" her country only in appointive and supernumary positions because she was deemed politcally worthy of holding those positions by the half-baked Republicans who appointed her.

She has no special expertise of any sort to bring to any of the panels she has been on or testified at except that she wishes to rid the Armed Forces of feminist leanings and to protect the right of right-wing evangelicals to determine what is and isn't moral for all of us.

This, as is usual with the WorldNetDaily positions is a ludicrous and half-baked hash of the actual hearing that is being used for the purpose of rallying the troops for the election, written by a super-annuated former syndicated columnist whose political beliefs jibe with WND's and who needs the work.
