I don't think this is breaking confidence, since the caller and I never entered into any kind of therapeutic relationship.
I'm on Prideline last night. This guy calls. I answer with my fairly high cheery voice, which these days usually gets me read as female, even on the phone. The caller sounds like an older guy. He speaks kind of slowly and a bit slurred. He asks if there are any women on tonight. I tell him that I am a woman. This does not fly with him. He says I sound like a man. I assure him that this is not the case, despite my voice. He's not buying. "I want a real lady," he says.
