Title: Tube top in beach
Post by: barbie on August 03, 2008, 12:43:43 PM
I now think it was my misjudgement.

I wished to wear my tube top in this summer. On Sunday, our family went to a nearby beach, joined by my brother and his son. My wife grumbled at my wearing the tube top before leaving.

It's beach. Many young women walk around in the street while wearing bikini. I do not think my appearance was outstanding, but many people looked at me with surprise or awe. At a convenience store, male guests stepped aside for me, which is unusual in this country.

My wife frowned espeically at the tube top, and I remember she once commented negatively on young women wearing tube tops.

Above all, my kids call me dad, and nearby people would be surprised. I think this was why my wife frowned, commenting badly on my appearance. I should have avoided too feminine clothes while with my family, espeically with my kids. Now I think it is a must.

I was a little bit depressed.

Hi Barbie,

You look great as always....

...but yes, I can see why our wife would be frowning due
to the attention you must have attracted to your family.

There are times when we can enjoy being noticed, but there
are also times when we need to show restraint for the sake of
our loved ones...

I'm afraid I don't think this issue is going to get any easier
for you as your children get older.

...I like your new Seattle Avatar....it's nearly as tall as you!

Thanks, Chrissty.

My first son is now 12 years old, and I see no fundamental difference in thinking betweem kdis of his age and adults. Of course, he is  most negative on my crossdressing among my kids. Like other adults, he just accepts me as I am, although he sometimes complains about it.

My second son is about 10 years old, and people say his personality mostly inherits from me. He is optimistic, sloppy, curious, adventuring and smart. Yesterday, he shouted to me "Dad" and I ignored him because of large crowd there. Then he shouted my full name. It is a kind of taboo in my country that young people call elder persons by their full name, not to mention calling their parents' name. He is so naive, and accepts my crossdressing very well. He also sometimes shows interest in women's fashion.

My daughter is now my best friend. While wearing full dress, I can go out with her. She always shouted at me "Daddy! Daddy!". I am not quite sure how she will accept my crossdressing in the future. She says like "Daddy looks mommy."

My wife expects that I will stop crossdressing when I am too old to keep current shape, hopefully when I become 50 years old. I am not sure.

Some people ask that question, and I wonder what effects of my taking hormones would be. I have had a slender figure and feminine face since childhood, which became target of teasing during my teenage. I think nowadays such feminine features diminish as I am getting old. Some of my friends who are doctors recommend me not to take any hormone.

Christty's right. Sometimes we need to show some restraint in regards to our loved ones. I want to take my wife out dressed as 'Gennee' but she doesn't want so I don't press the issue. You do look very nice in the tube top.

I've got the opposite problem. I'm not quite ready for the out and about CD thing. But, my wife really wants me to do this.

I think I might be more inclined to do so when my kids are older. My son is 19 and my daughter is 16. My son probably is at a point where he'd be OK. My daughter is still in high school and really hates it when people bother her or her friends. I don't want to go out en femme, be observed, and then have her catch hell from some of the dolts who go to her school. She can probably handle it, but I'd rather not put her through it.

That's just my $.02.

Well just don't go anywhere where high school kids hang out, which is good advice no matter what you're doing.

There are lots of places in the Bay Area to go to where no one would bat an eyelash.

I also restrain when visiting schools of my kids. However, even my long hair alone can attract attention of kids in this country. So far, no serious problem, because my kids are still very young. Fortunately, it is very rare that dads visit middle or high schools, because it is a kind of rule that mothers are responsible for education of their kids in my country.

After I left the tube top in the laundry, I can not see it any more at home. I suspect that my wife threw it away. Should I ask her where it is or just waiting to see it again next summer? I cherish it so much....

That's a tough one. Maybe ask her if she's seen it recently and see what she says.
