Leah and I went to Trinidad, Colorado a few weekends back. We stopped in for a visit at Morning Glow. Dr. Ellis had 2 or 3 hours to chat with us and share some things with Leah. Needs and put-offs till later things. She is really and truly a very sweet lady. I was amased to see what she has accomplished with own transition. I can see why people speak so highly of the work being done on behalf of the community there. The week end we were there, they had film crews in filming a documentry of their lives. I'm not sure just when it will air but it is in hopes to help bring the community more to the forefront and raise public awareness.
I think I have always been silently afraid for Leah to undertake such a surgery as SRS. I had trouble imagining what she would come out looking like. I know she has handle her TS issues this long and even though it sounds selfish I still have her through all this time with the need for SRS. But I was afraid would she be able to accept the women they create with all the surgeries she is planning. After seeing these wonderful ladies and how they look and present themselves I'm no long so afraid. I think that was the best trip we spent time for Leah's planning. I also am relieved that Leah has given up on going to Thialand for SRS and instead will be going to Trinidad, with DR. Ellis and Dr. Bowers taking care of everything I confident Leah to will be a lovely lady when her surgeries are completed.
Just wanted to share.
Smiles,
Peggiann
Peggiann:
That is great news that your fears have been settled. I pray that things progress smoothly and Leah emerges a beautiful lady!

Hi Peggiann:
I'm very happy for you and Leigh; I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Bowers; she's such a trooper, and I'm confident that Leigh's results are just going to be successful. I wish you both the very best of luck..
