Personally, I don't like playing the "we're more marginalized than you" game.  There's enough room in my life to support civil rights and social reforms that positively affect African-Americans, Jews, Natives, women, the disabled, the elderly and gay and lesbian people as there is to fight for trans issues.  As soon as we start comparing wounds, everybody gets defensive and soon we all cease to move forward.  But it does surface from time to time, and usually what's at the root of it is the frustration of not moving forward, the anger at being forgotten or even wilfully excluded, and generally being tired of having to beg for table scraps at the seat of advocacy.
