Title: Luna
Post by: Ell on August 10, 2008, 04:05:24 AM
Luna

The problems we face as a couple
Emerge, and congeal.

Fresh exasperating breathless
Romance conceals

Long-carried inabilities and
Whole phrases of ineptitude.

As phases of lunar cycles
Insist on pulling the unruly tide,

Revealing the jagged edges
Of coasts just beneath the surface,

And as you see me more,
Love, will you love me less?

As the things i thought i knew i'd do
Become symbols of distress.

Sameness, loss of depth
Tend toward cyclic tendency.

Only love's protection's rising,
glowing, in full ascendancy.

Honey, you are my treasure beyond price, and I am not going to let the years change that.  Yes, our love will change with time, but I refuse to believe that it will become any less than it is today.
