I was born a boy. My chromosomes are XY. At least I assume so. There is no indication that they are anything other than XY. Because of that, and because I did not lack sensitivity to androgens, those androgens modified my tiny fetal self in the womb. When I was born, the obstetrician saw a penis and a scrotal sac (the testes took a while to descend), and based on that, made a decision.
"It's a boy, Mrs. Walker, it's a boy."
