Title: Hitting the Gym
Post by: trapthavok on September 01, 2008, 03:31:17 PM
I've been to the gym 5 times so far this week and I absolutely LOVE going!!

I had to wait to go back to my school's gym because I didn't have the money to pay for it this summer, but it's included in my tuition during the school year. FREE GYM MEMBERSHIP! (I don't pay tuition).

While I've only been going for 5 days, I can already see myself being to change. My goal is to be one of those muscular guys, and my arms and legs are already starting to take shape. They're a little more rounded than they used to be (in a muscular sense).

Just thought I'd share with everyone that you DO get results!!! But I'm pretty OCD too, I do the exact same amount of lifting everyday, and gradually increase weights when it gets too easy.

I DO have my good days, and getting muscles is SO increasing my self-esteem.  ;D Feeling quite attractive!

I cannot wait to join a gym just as soon as I can afford to, I may try one of the local council onesa they should be cheaper.  I really badly want to tone up and get more muscular.

Eh I'll probably look that way too, but I'll take my chances. I'll be the opposite of those guys who have big upper bodies and small legs then I guess haha

I stopped going to a gym because it costs so much. Glad you got a free membership (or that you'll be able to).

I go to body conditioning twice a week. There we run for at least 12 minutes. We do abdominal work outs and dips. Push ups and lunges. By the end of the day, everything is sore. I go to yoga once a week at the end of the week to stretch everything out. I recover over the weekend. On the days I'm not in body conditioning, I run and do exercises at home. The exercises are just part of this one month plan where you do a different work out every day. Instead of one a day, I do two to four, only on the days I don't have body conditioning.

I can feel more strength, but I have not seen much visible change. It's a curse of my family. My dad was strong enough to lift 400 lbs but his arms still looked very thin. We cannot become buff men. If I am lucky I will have genetics from my mom's side that can help. I actually do see a little change in my legs. They're thicker slightly.

I hope I can change my chest. I'm trying to build muscle on my chest, back, shoulders, abdomen... that's about it. Legs and arms, too, actually. I am also trying to increase grip strength.

The machine kind, right? Those things can be really useful. :) Have fun with it. But also be careful, because as I'm sure you know, they can be really dangerous.

I think my mom is going to make us join a gym since she needs to lose weight. I am excited at the thought of becoming on of those muscular guys. My mom wants to join at the YMCA so she can go swimming afterwards, which I don't care about. I'm never going swimming again till I can wear swim trunks. I know there are other options for us guys, but I don't like them that much. But I am excited about the gym. I have gone to women only gyms in the past with my mom and friends, but they never felt right to me. Hopefully now, a unisex gym will feel right.

The gym is a great place to loose weight. In my experience, not a great place to gain strength. But I was only there for a short time. Now I'm using old fashioned methods (gravity).

The YMCA is a great gym. I used to go there. Plus, you can dance withe village people.

I wish I could go to the gym and work out, but I just cannot bring myself to do anything if other people are there.  I just feel like they are staring at me.  If I ever finally move to a bigger house I shall have my own home gym, until then I shall have to make due with burger curls.

Well if there was anything that could convince me to get top surgery it would definitely be this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FtBjlndDkk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FtBjlndDkk)

If I look like that after surgery and lots of gym time I will be ECSTATIC.

Oh frack. They'd have to sedate me. Or tie my hands down. that's a very sensitive area to be poking and scraping with tools. Holy cow.

But the results look absolutely beautiful. Hope for the future.

But I really want to avoid those lines if I can. That's why I really want lipo (keyhole). It's possible for people with an A cup like me... The only scar is a little dot by each nipple.

Jay

Why can't you lift?  ???

Just had my hysto on Thursday.  Can't lift anything over 10 pounds for a while; have to take it easy for 6 weeks.  I hope to get in a few weeks of working out hard before top surgery in Dec. though.  Then I start over with waiting.  But I purposely scheduled it like this; I heal and then I have the rest of my life to let T work its magic, and work out.  ;D

My doc wanted me to take 3 weeks off work.  Well, I worked last night after only 4 days.  It was slow, thank G*D, but it felt good to get out and do something productive.  I have no idea how people can sit and moan for 3-6 weeks and not work.  Okay, maybe if you work for UPS and load trucks or something very strenuous.  My job requires shuffling papers and the use of my brain, with some walking and squatting.  Not very strenuous.
