Title: Greetings and Salutations
Post by: Karen_A on September 03, 2008, 09:23:55 AM
Greetings,

My name is Karen and I guess I am androgyne (for want of a better definition). I am a genetic male and have lived unsuccessfully in that role for far too many years. I have now decided to do something about this and I am trying to adopt a more feminine lifestyle as I feel that I could have handled this role more easily than the male one.

To be honest I really feel neither male nor female, but our (enlightened?) society only recognises male or female, so I feel forced to opt for a female role, even although I'm not entirely sure if I'll ever be 100% satisfied with this. (Life is a bitch, isn't it!)

Having lurked here for a while, I see that there are people here with whom Ican identify.

I look forward to spending some interesting time on here.

Karen

Hi Karen,

Welcome to our little family. Over 1800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.

Janet

Welcome, Karen.

I was where you are.  That doesn't mean that you will decide to be where I am, but I think I understand what you are saying.  Even though I was male-bodied and presented male, I never identified as a man.  I always thought I was both and neither.  I was somewhere else in the gender universe.  Some people can live there, but as I worked through all this I found that - for me - I wanted to transition to be as much of a woman as I can.  You may decide - for you - that you want/need something else.

Welcome to Susan's and happy exploring! :D

- Kate

Hi Karen and welcome, don't feel forced to have to live as one gender or the other just because that's society's norms, just be yourself, what ever you feel you are at any given time, it could be leaning male one day and female the next. I broke out of the box i was in and refuse to be put in another one.

HUGS!
