OK, I think I may have said this before, but I came out to my mom a few weeks ago. She didn't do or say that much, except book me an appointment to see a counselor. We haven't talked about it since. Today she came home from work and she said she printed something interesting. I asked what it was and it was about 50 pages of transgender information. I'm really glad she's being supportive of me.
That's awesome, Adam. Moms like that are one in a million, it feels sometimes. :)
One in a million... hah. My mom still refuses to accept my gender identity. It's been 6 months. I don't think she ever will accept it.
Its good your mom cares, support can make all the difference sometimes :)

Congrats on your Mum, Adam. She sounds really understanding and nice. Its great you have her support.
I'm a lot older then you (well, I'm 28) and I'm still too scared to tell my mother. I know Ill have to eventually, but I also know she won't take it well at all.
Its great though to have people around you who are open-minded and atleast trying to understand

I always did know my parents would be supportive. I do have a two gay uncles and they're still part of the family, so I was never really worried about being kicked out or anything. But I was still very nervous when telling her.

Considering your mother has seen you as her daughter for 18 or so years, six months is nothing. Feels like a lifetime to us, but to our parents it's a flash in the pan. Give her time, dude.

I told my mum almost a year ago. and i thought the same. and every time i talked about it to her it felt like the 1st time i told her. When i told her the 1st time she was cool with it and told me what i should do. But cuz she never gave me help after i thought she blanked it out of hr mind and thought it would go away. But i asked her if she could get me a date to see my GP. 2days leter she told me i see him this mon she didnt tell me or anythink so it was a suprise. and now im thinking that more mum is there for me when i need it.. and my mum hasnt had the best couple of mths but shes still making time to help me... try and talk to her more try and tell her how u fill.. I did with my mum and she asked things and i told her.. somtimes it felt like she was trying to change my mind but i new it wasnt going to happen. then she told me "I Really dont think u fillings are going to change EVER! And i will be there every step of the way"... and give ur mum some time and im sure she be ok with it. try and get her to inderstand i told my mum everythink! all my filling and it made her understand alot.
