I wear headbands and bandannas on my forehead, but with my new haircut they just don't fit properly without looking stupid or too tight around my head(mind you, this is adult sized and usually children's hats fit my head to give you some perspective.)
So I just said, "ah well, this thing is a B-tube anyway, I can wear it around my neck." and I realized it made the appearance of my neck much thicker. Its just loosely wrapped around and its a B-tube which means its just a 'tube' of the fabric, complete with the designs that can be made into a headband, bandanna, beanie, mask, scarf or pony tail holder and so on.
I, myself, have a small neck. I've been trying to think of ways to make it look thicker outside of photography positions and such so it could work in the real world.
It might not be anyone's style but its one method at least. I think my next challenge is trying to make my fingers not look so slender.
Anyone else come up with ways to 'mask' the neck?
I'd assume anything that covers your neck, scarves, folded collars, collars not folded down halfway, hoodies where the hood is attached very close to the neck (although that might only work from the back view), etc.
And "lengthening" fingers, learn how to play guitar. Well. It may or may not give them actual length, but it will make you be able to reach and stretch them out farther, which does the same thing.
I've tried hoodies and wear them frequently but they don't cover all of the neck, so it still looks rather small.
My fingers are already long, they're just really skinny and it looks way too feminine.
Oh whoops, read the second question backwards. ;D Yeah, I've no idea how to change that. Not sure why you would want to, long fingers look so elegant and sexy on men.
Well I like that they're long, but they're so narrow, especially at the end... it makes it look girly.
Many guys have small necks, my neck was smaller (and much longer) than almost all women I know even prior to HRT!
I understand that much... its just showing off the feminine shape of my head I guess. D:

I understand, I keep having dreams where I do things that make my neck thicker and exulting in the results.
Maybe wearing your collars up will help. And slender necks and fingers are common on slender, smaller frame guys like Keira mentioned.
My neck is pretty happy the way it is. But I'm sure a collar would help as well for someone with a small neck, if you're into looking fancy.

That could help too I suppose.
I just get self conscious when I see a quality of myself thats usually associated with women. I start to wonder if people will look at my hands and question why they're so skinny and pointy at the end.

I'd love for my neck to be a little bit thicker than it is now. Anything more would look awkward without more mass but still... I worry that'll femininize the rest of my head and draw attention.

I always wished I had long slender fingers :( My hands are baby hands, at least you don't have to deal with that.... They'll probably be smaller than any girlfriend I ever have. If ever.
At first I wanted the slender fingers cause I was a piano player and I like that a lot of piano players had those...But then it just looked really cool to me ;D

T-T-T-Totally dude! I love my collars on my polos and dress shirts :D
I like have long slender fingers, but its the way they are they just look so feminine.
Maybe it wont be so bad to have them as skinny as they are. Or maybe I'm being too self conscious.
Monty, I have long, slender fingers too. And also a story that might make you feel a bit better about yours.
My friend's mom is taking some courses at the same college my friend and I attend, and so she eats lunch with us sometimes. I'm out to my friend, but not his mom. These two guys my friend knows came over and started chatting (I never spoke), and when I left to get more food, they asked if I was a guy or a girl. My friend said I was a guy.
Thennnn, on the way home, his mom brought up that situation, saying, "Why would they be confused about that? I mean...they should've just looked at his face, at his hands. He might be a little bit feminine, but he's obviously a guy."
So maybe it was a fluke, but it made me feel verrrry blessed.
Btw, here's a pic of those helpful little buggers. Hah...look anything like yours?

If anything, yours are a bit more masculine than mine. But who knows, could be my self-consciousness talking. Btw, re: the bandana thing, I've thought about doing that a couple times, not even thinking about my neck size. It just looks really hot on the punk/indie/emo type guys I've seen it on.
Wow Monty, your hands look amazing. Let's switch hands?

Maybe we're both just being overly self-conscious about it.
I don't really fall into those categories but I just like bandannas and such.

I am lucky that mine have a good shape. Just small. I really will pass, just as a "miniature" guy. It's unfortunate but... I think it's something I can work around.
Yes for serious.
-will post pics of my very average looking hands sometime-
Average minus my knuckle scars of course. ::)
I think my hands are quite feminine however T will hopefully bring some veins out.. Im hopeing..
I dont have a problem with my neck being small as I am quite a large guy as it is! So its never really bothered me and I haven't really thought about it before either!

It probably will, Jay. It did for me, and fairly quickly too. I hated my hands before. Now they look fine.
Dennis
I guess I'm just being too self conscious of my body parts. Thanks for the reassurance guys.
