I am going on a diet breakfast in the morning breakfast bar
lunch-water
dinner-anything i want in small portion
That's severe restricting. Don't be a dumbarse and try that. I started restricting and now I have a full-blown eating disorder. I'll make a list of what happens when you restrict your food.
- Extreme dizziness
- Tired all the time
- Brain doesn't work, you end up doing stupid stuff and don't remember you did.
- Fainting/collapsing
- When you wanna eat more later, you'll feel nauseous if you even eat one spoonful more
- Start vomiting up involuntarily.
- Extremely hard to stop once you start
- Once you run outta fat to burn, it'll start burning your muscle, and then you'll end up really weak.
- and so much more.
So please listen to me. Burn it the proper way. Eat salads/protein and go exercise.
That doesn't seem like a diet at all...
that seems like a very poorly thought out idea emoboi.. we've had these discussions before.
Just be safe.

get some help, emo. :(
as a rule, guys don't care about a few extra pounds
That sounds like a crash diet leading to Hell.
I don't know the weight goal you're aiming for and where you're starting out, but with the way you're trying to do things you're just going to end up making yourself ill. While on your diet you'll lose weight fairly quickly, you'll gain it back just about as quickly (and possibly more than you started with) when you start eating normal again, and thats if you don't get an eating dissorder.
A breakfast bar isn't going to cut it for breakfast. You body needs that morning meal to get everything going. When you skip out on that its like trying to start a car without any gas. Try eating a boiled egg with some toast and a glass of milk or juice, that way you're not stuffing yourself with fats and oils, but you're not starving either.
I can't say much for lunch because I just grab a protein shake and call it good, but at least munch on an apple or something to get you 'till dinner.
And while porportioning your food is a good idea, there's a dark side to it, and you're crossing over to the dark side.
Instead of having 'Anything' you want for dinner in small portions, just eat heathy foods in normal servings. Have a salad or a soup with low trans fats, have some type of meat to keep protein in your body, because protein burns fat and builds muscle and is VERY important in any diet.
If you want a dessert to cure a sweet tooth then get natural sugars out of fruits, not from candy and pop.
AND STAY AWAY FROM ENERGY DRINKS!!!
Get up and go jogging for a little bit. If you dont like exercising in public (I dont, and I can't pay for a gym membership either) then run in place inside your house, do some crunches and pushups and just try to stay moving.
Freespeechz has already pointed out that starving yourself is just going to mess you up and cause muscle loss. Its just not worth it in the long run.
You've more than likely heard all of that before and tried it and said it didn't work, but you're not going to get results in a couple of weeks. Give it a couple of Months before you start looking for results, and stay off the Scale. Some stupid machine telling you how much you weigh every five minutes is not going to help you or make you feel better. Its fine to check once in a long while, but not every other day. Weights fluctuate all the time for many different reasons. Don't just automatically think, "Sh!t! I've gained weight!" You might be retaining water or something simple like that.
Sorry if that all seemed stupid and a repeat of hundreds of people, but it works without hurting your body.
Note: I am not a doctor or a nutritionist or anything like that, but I know the difference between a healthy choice and an unhealthy choice.

That is a horrible stereotype.
Emoboi this is a horrible idea. "Diets" don't work, let alone diets conceived by yourself which do not require eating very much food. This is very harmful to your body, all you're doing is depriving it of nutrients your body needs and I emphasize NEEDS. In order to know how to lose the weight you want to lose you have to understand how your body functions....
Your body needs a certain amount of vitamins each day which can be found in most foods like fruits, veggies, grains, etc. Now all you have to do is eat the RIGHT foods and not JUNK/Foods that are bad for you rather than cut things out.
Second, once you start eating right, if you exercise your body will lose the weight the way it is SUPPOSED to be lost. I don't support losing weight, but if you're going to do it anyway PLEASE do it RIGHT. Diets only starve the body and like Asher said, when your body can't find the nutrients you're supposed to be providing it, it WILL look for them in other places (your muscles for one) and that only hurts in the long run.
MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: Diets DON'T work because you deprive yourself of food, so your body gets used to having less and less nutrients in it and finds ways to compensate for it. Then when you STOP dieting your body has become so used to the lack of food that your intake of food will now be an OVERFLOW in your body's eyes and so you will actually GAIN more weight than you intended to.
THE ONLY EFFECTIVE DIET IS TO EAT RIGHT AND EXERCISE.
And if you're still thinking of doing it after reading the above; starving yourself would only harm you and it could delay transition for years if you get stuck like that. Would you want that? It may seem like a way to ease the pain right now, or whatever reason you have for doing it, but it only harms you. I can't know what you're feeling or what reasons you have for doing this, but please think about it.
Emoboi, if you diet anymore you will look like a concentration camp survivor, I mean seriously, you are skinny and you just need to go get help about your eating disorder.
i appreciate you all worrying about me but i just cant change my mind about this i know its unhealthy but i dont know how to stop thinking like this once it starts
With guys, its not the pounds, its the shape your in. Whats a few pounds more or less if I can outwork you, or hold my own ground? Besides, really working out puts on muscle, which weighs more. And the feeling of walking down the street, knowing you can hold your own, is priceless.
But, emo is all about pain, cutting for some, self-starvation for others. Who are we to intrude on it? Lots of people think we are making bad choices also. Think on that.
Diet affects mood in a big way. Restricting like that causes mental and emotional problems that create a restricting feedback loop. You might be able to eat your way out of it if you eat things that make you feel better. Bananas and chocolate, for example, as a quick fix. But talk to your shrink about the kinds of foods you need in your diet regularly to keep your mood healthy. Fish, green algae, complex carbohydrates, etc.

Emoboi pay attention!
Emoboi,
Like all disorders you need to recognise the bad situation developing and get the help you need. We all live hard lives and we should recognise our problems and develop strategies to overcome those problems.
We all care for you - be safe Emoboi.
Alice
I had anorexia for a couple of years as a teenager and it did NOT solve anything. It was followed by decades of first bulimia and then just overeating and a hate relationship with food. Took me until I was 40 just to recognize that food was just FOOD and I could eat without some guilt. SUX.
Listen to the others. It won't be easy.

That is not dieting. That's fasting, and your body WILL react negatively.
It will become more efficient in storing energy, and in turn, you will get fatter.
In order to PROPERLY change one's body for the better, he or she must exercise regularly and eat food that contains more energy and less... "substance," is probably the best word for it. More fruits and vegetables, less junk food and you know all the stuff you shouldn't be eating; sugars and all that.
I am not anorexic. But for a while I was rationing my food intake. Maybe for a time I was anorexic. But I learned that gaining weight can only help me later when I'm on T. It might make me look more round/feminine now if I gained some weight, but later it will give me great rewards; my body will use that fat, that stored energy, to make muscle and the make the other changes in my body. The reserves my body has saved in the form of fat will prove very useful during transition.
And yes, starving yourself will delay your transition, just like starving myself delayed my natural female puberty (and don't even think about trying it, anyone, because it isn't going to help you in the long run). I ended up being small, malnourished, weak, and worst of all, no one can depend on me for anything because of this. All I can do now is eat right and live right and hope I can develop strength for the future. Testosterone, my second puberty, is my second chance at developing some major improvements; but it will ONLY help if I do the right things.
OK, I may not be a huge health nut, but that emoboi, is not a diet. You should do what other people are suggesting and eat healthy and exercise.

I understand it emo... try this to combat that thinking.
Look up Fibromyalgia. Learn what it's like. Read "The Spoon Theory" from ButYouDon'tLookSick.
Really think about what your life would be like if that was the way your body was.
That is the result of an eating disorder. PLEASE talk to a therapist and unknot that before you permanently damage yourself.
