Title: Body Odor
Post by: GQjoey on September 11, 2008, 11:12:00 PM
So this might be a little TMI for some, but it's all good with me :) Tell me I'm not the only one experiencing the most foul smelling raunch farts to mankind. Like, it's BAD! I know a lot of it is diet, but even on an empty stomach, I can barely sit with myself sometimes.
I work in a basement, with 2-4 girls at a time, and let's just say, they're not always too happy with me. They laugh, and think its funny, because I do tend to wave it their way sometimes, but it's baaaaad!
Not only that, but I've noticed my urine smells too. Sometimes, like what I last ate. Not complaining at all, I actually enjoy everyone being scared of my almighty gas, just wondering if this is in fact, normal?

Are you saying this is T related?

I've been on T for just over 6 weeks and have noticed a slight change in my own personal body odor but that's about it.  I don't have gas issues.

What the heck are you eating, dude?!

I have more gas, but it isn't necessarily stinky.  just frequent.

Dude, I have horrible smelling farts, pre-T, and that's only if I eat something weird.

Any other time people don't seem to notice.

It's probably the eating? Watch what you eat I guess.

My urine doesn't smell gross, but my dad's definitely does. I'm in the process of reading Max Valerio's story (FtM) and he said he noticed his urine started gaining a stronger smell, but nothing about gas.

only time my pee smells strong is after i drink coffee.

in the wild, male animals pee everywhere to mark their territory, so i think its a testosterone related thing that makes the pee smell more.

In the first year of taking T I noticed a major change in smell of my own body odour. I kept asking people whether I smelt like butter/oil. Funny thing is, no-one else could smell this. My GF, who I have been with for 5 years said she couldn't smell it but it was driving me mad for a while. This smell has gone now. Oh, and I also went through this stage between shifting from Sustanon to Nebido when my farts smelt of burning wood, that too has now ended (praise the Lord)  ;D

So, Joey...what ARE you eating?

Haha. My diet hasn't changed much at all, since starting T. My odor has though, no doubt. I eat the same type of things everyday. Cereal in the morning, drink lots of water throughout the day, burrito/salad/sammich for lunch (one or the other, not all), and pasta/chicken/sushi for dinner. I do eat a lot of tacos/burritos, but like I said, I always have.

yeah but your body can change to sensitivity to any food at any time

I used to LOVE meat and sweets. From September-December of last year, my body changed until i was unable to eat any animal product, even butter and honey... they make me sick, and for animal products I can't stand the taste/texture. Haven't been so lucky on the sweets, so i am sick a lot lol

I just thought I'd mention that dehydration can cause urine to become more concentrated, and as a result of which, it gives off more of an odour. If you don't drink enough fluids for a few days then it can be quite noticable.

Caffeine and alcohol are both diuretics, that's to say that they increase the excretion of water from your system, causing more concentrated (and worse smelling) urine.

Body metabolism can change, food ingredients can change, etc.

I've noticed now that I'm an old fart  (pun intended  ;D) that dairy products are starting to hate me.

As far as T goes and changing things, I have noticed that certain foods I used to love now are just bleh or not even appealing.  I eat them and go, why did I even want that?  It was gross!  So maybe my tastebuds are changing. Who knows?

Dairy products are also starting to effect me. I grew up drinking 3-4 glasses of skim milk a day, and can now barely have 1-2. And I LOVE milk, it's not sitting right in my stomach though, which blows :( Soy Milk is out the question.

If soy milk is out of the question it *could* be sugar. Try cutting out 100% of the sugar (including milk), corn syrup, dextrose (aside from fresh fruit) from your diet for 3 days.

I'm not one to check out nutrient facts on the back of things, which is probably not a good thing. I figure the obvious, grease bad, fruit good. I definitely need a more healthy eating plan. I just suck at sticking to things like that.
