analyzed the literary origins of the four archetypes of horror
culture, Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Dorian
Gray. And in Horrors in the Closet: Horrifying Heteronormative
Scapegoating, we discussed the cinematic genre up to the 1960s. This
is the final installment that explores the varied ways in which horror
films construct non-heteronormative sexual identities as monstrous.
