If a woman walks into the room, be it a business or otherwise and you read her as TG/TS. Be polite and treat her as any other genetic woman. If you want to start a conversion with her, the first words out of you mouth had better not be "do you hang out at [a known 'and nasty ->-bleeped-<-' Bar]". The woman is likely to take a great deal of offense at that as I DID. However being the polite and caring woman that I am, I chose not to get all pissed about it.
Fortunately for me, I have no problem treating transgirls like any other girl. Except when I accidentally screw up pronouns (Sorry Toni, Alex!!).
I feel that everyone that deals with people or works in the customer service area should be specifically trained to deal with the TG public. I hate it when even after I correct someone they still call me Sir. At that point I just hand the person behind the counter my items and say you just lost a sale because of your refusal to address e properly. Have a nice day. :) I can be as sweet as pie or a real meanie. I just ask you treat me as respectfully as I do you.
