NEW YORK -- "Wig Out!" studies the rivalries in a household of drag
divas. Not much of a play, frankly, but certainly one fabulous show,
thanks to fierce performances and director Tina Landau's extremely
stylish staging.
Viewers vaguely aware of drag culture are in for quite an education at
Tarell Alvin McCraney's new play, which opened yesterday at the
Vineyard Theatre. To say nothing of getting an eyeful of outrageous
couture.
