Sacramento police are calling the death of a young transgender woman
"suspicious" and have assigned the case to homicide investigators.
The body of Fernando "Margorito" Molina, 22, of Sacramento was
discovered by a group of people fishing at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday,
September 21 in the river, approximately one mile southeast of the
Highway 160 bridge, a coroner's official said. Sergeant Kirk
Campbell of the Sacramento Police Department's homicide unit has
been assigned the case.
