Sounds like the beginning of a good joke, eh? I have been incredibly busy this week and didn't get around to blogging about some really fascinating stories that have caught my attention lately.

The Washington Blade got an interview with John McCain about LGBT issues. In a move that shocked no one, the maverick asked for our votes while explaining why he didn't support every LGBT issue.

Sarah Palin tried to defend her positions on LGBT issues, abortion and evolution. In another non-shocking "maverick" move, she defended her rightwing nuttery while wrapping it in nonsense and sugar.

California Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed legislation for a "Harvey Milk Day" on the assassinated gay politician's birthday. When will Gavin Newsom be Governor?

Squidoo.com is giving away $80k to worthy charities. For every person that votes for their favorite charity, Squidoo gives that charity $2. Voting ends at 40,000 participants; hence, $80k. So far, the March of Dimes is in the lead. Personally, I voted for Chimp Haven.
