Title: How long you must wait to SRS?
Post by: goingdown on October 11, 2008, 01:45:08 AM
After you have got two recomendations from gendertherapists how long it take to get SRS? (I understand that it is not a simply question.) In our system currently you must wait  around two years after getting recomendations because SRS-resources are so limited. Would it be faster using a private surgeon? After all I may get my recomendations in about a half year  but our healtcare system has very little resourses for SRS.  And other question is quality. Are private surgeons generally more talented than surgeons that do SRS very rare as part-time practice?  Any recomendations ? however it would be a difficult to travel some other country with male-genitals and F-gender marker in your passport. ( I live in country where currently pre-op can get a female passport after confirmed a transsexual by two gendertherapist, being sterili and having a female ID granted after RLT.)

A seriously open ended question and as you say its country and finance related also but i have a an aquaintance in the uk who was cleared within 6 months and whatever the waiting time for Suporn was at the time before it was all finished.

More than time I am conserned about the quality. Where I live some normal plastic surgeons do very rarely SRS-operations for those who get recomendations. Because I have some money in my account I am started to think would an experied SRS-surgeon be better option than somebody who does SRS very rarely. They cannot have some kind of routine and experience.

One other thing to worry about is lead time.  The private surgeons who are good at SRS get booked up.  Dr. Bowers in the US has a 12-13 month waiting list.  The guys in canada have about 6 months wait and Dr. Mcginn's is about 2-3 months.

Most Thai Doctors are 3-6 months out too.  The good news is some of the doctors will book your date before you have your two letters in hand.  Others will want the letters in hand before giving you a date.

Which ever way you go, best of luck to you

I am studying opinions but getting permit to travel would be very hard.  After the t€rr0r attack the traveling to USA or even to Canada is difficult. I am als0 scared that in t€rr0r suspect big-list.

No you should be able to travel just fine, and you are absolutely correct private surgeons do so much better work.

Brassard in Canada is by far the best artist I have ever seen.

Is anyone aware of the practice of creating the neoclitoris and if the better doctors ever do this?

Not to mention what i just learned about the prostate being converted to be in use that much more often for lubrication.

Do they ever allow the prostate to naturally lubricate the neovagina?
