Well, I am about to take the next step in transitioning.
This upcoming Tuesday, I have an meeting with my principals. In this meeting, I am going to tell them that I plan on transitioning wihtin the next few years. My union rep will be there as will my diversity manager - both of whom already know.
I will admit to being a little nervous, but I am more excited about takeing this next step.

So, go with the androgenous look and add just a touch of mascara? ;)
Chaunte, keep in mind that your transition will go faster than whatever you're planning. Good luck. :)

Yes indeed... I am so happy for you Chaunte, I can feel your excitement and your nervousness, and I can guarantee that if all goes well at your meeting that you will feel on top of the world. It seems as though you have a great plan of attack, and it should see you through this part with ease and giving them a couple of years removes any stress that they may feel. Just remember that once the genie is out of the bottle ya can't get her back in.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Hope you can get 3 wishes out of her. ;D
Keep looking on the bright side.
You can do it even if the genie doesn't come through.

I think it will go well. The Jeannie is already coming out of the bottle. My clothing has become slightly more feminine. I've had my eyebrows done. And I am looking to get my ears pierced. (I bought a beautiful pair of earrings make out of ostrich and imu eggs!)

Let's see. Three wishes?
Her good looks.
A strong "backbone" for what lies ahead.
And my last wish is to set her free.

Well, I had my meeting with my principals this morning. It went well. I discussed how I envisioned the process of transitioning. Went throught he biological & chemical changes that would occur. Talked about what directions negative responses might come from. We covered a lot of ground.
So, I'm out! Come hell or high water, the closet door seems locked shut behind me.
I meet with the superintendant on the 9th at 8 am.
Another day, another step.
