"Sex Change Soldier" raises questions

Since my last foray into transgender territory went so swimmingly, I decided on an encore, minus the smugness (I can't help that I was born haughty, please accept me for it).

"SCS" follows 42 year-old ex-British paratrooper Ian as he transforms his body into Jan, a distorted version of Sophia Loren. This episode focused on his facial reconstruction and eliciting sympathy from viewers.

I was disgusted when shown a reprehensible exchange between bloggers discussing Ian. Yet there is a fine line between venting and whining, while not crossed, overall "SCS" tread closely.

A short discussion about Ian suffering five years of sexual abuse as a child was revealing, but disappointing when the program failed to expand on how this may have affected his desire to become a woman.
