Hello Everyone.
My name is Stephen. My boyfriend has recently showed an interest becoming a woman, how he truly feels he is. I have always been behind him, and always will. Today will probably be the first day that we actually go and look for doctors and what not to help him with this journey. He is telling his parents tonight that he is a Transgender.

I'm not really aqauinted with the Transgender Community, so I would like any insight I could get.

Hello, Stephen! Welcome to Susan's :) It's always nice to have another SO around.

My wife, Danielle, is also MtF. We're currently in therapy and things have been progressing well. I highly recommend a therapist who will also do couple's sessions. Transition affects *you* as well and communication and honesty are the keys to staying together (just like any relationship.) Couples can and do survive transition :)
