Title: Hi, Philip here.
Post by: nightsoul321 on October 20, 2008, 10:14:14 AM
I am so glad to find this place. I am FTM. I have had harmones and no surgery. I have been living as a male for 25 years. I came out when I was 32 to my mother and rest of the family. My father had passed away, so he never knew. This seems to be a great community and I am looking foreward to getting to know folks. :)

Hi Phillip,

Welcome to our little family. Over  2089 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another brother.

Hi, Philip. Welcome to the site.

If I may ask, have you been on hormones the whole time? Or did you start and stop? Regardless, I'm sure a lot of the younger guys will be pumping you for information soon!

I'm glad you're here.

Thanks every body for the welcome.

To answer Arch's question, I was on harmones for 13 years. My voice dropped, I grew a beard, oddly enough, my shoe size went up a notch ( don't know if that's part of the package. Haven't heard that from anyone else) my sex drive increased, and the humilation of having a period stopped. My body fat shifted and I even developed an inguinal crease. I'm athletic, so I was delighted to see my muscles become more developed. I was in heaven.
I had to stop the harmones because, due to the abuse of anabolic steroids by athletes, they became a controlled substance and I could no longer afford to buy them. I was getting sixty tablets in generics for $3, then they went up to the same amount for $75, then they went up to $86. At that point, I gave up. So, although I kept most of the characteristics I gained from them, the period came back. I hated it so much that, even now, I find it difficult to write or say that word. I finally went through menopause and that problem is gone forever.
I am glad to be a part of this community and am looking foreward to sharing back and forth with everyone. Thankyou for being here.  :)

Welcome Philip!

I am new here too. Just like you have, I may even introduce myself one day. Until then, I'll be reading through all the old threads, posting comments, and resurrecting dead threads on my own. I look forward to hearing more from you. See you around!
