Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Hello from the great (soon to be white) North.  I was active in San Diego in one of the TransGender groups there about 15 years ago, but when I got out of the Navy I came home to Michigan and put the cloths away.  When I met my wife, I made sure she knew everything about me before we got serious, and she stuck with me.  We've been happily married ever since, and she lets me dress up whenever it's convienient (read - NO KIDS in the house).  I decided to look around the Net for a support forum for TG's and it appears that I have found one.  This looks to be a great place full of friendly, decent people.  I probably won't be posting a lot, but I will certainly be taking in what every here has to say.

Thanks everyone.  You are all so nice. Since leaving San Diego for Hicksville, I really miss having CD friendly clubs to go to, or groups to get involved with.  There was supposedly a group in this area, but my eMails have gone unanswered dispite my best attempts to show sincerity.  I might have to look outside the local area and get a hotel room with the wife some weekend if I can find a place or a group to visit.

But I look forward to (virtually) meeting you all.  Again, this looks like a great place.  Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Reluctant to get active again after 15 years.  I had purged, to some extent when I got married and became a step-dad to three.  I felt it better to do away with the things that might be discovered and cause problems, not only within the house-hold, but with the wife's ex that might find out.  It wasn't because I had quit, just that it was a matter of necessity at the time.  Now that the step kids are grown and out of the house, the two of my own aren't quite the same situation, and we live in a house that allows me a little more privacy in how I can pack my things away.

Reluctant in that now I am not as thin as I was 15 years ago and will have a much tougher time passing than I did back then, and even then I would pull off everything I needed to "disguise" except my face, which was marginal at best.

Reluctant to get so engrosed in this again that it may impact my life in a negative way.  Lots of those old fears coming back.  But at least I have an understanding and supportive wife, and an encouraging one at that.

Reluctant Chrissty

I guess I will be bold and post the only two pictures I have of myself today.  My wife did my makeup and hair, and she was wonderful about it.  We went out to our camper that is located at a local campground perminantly (we know the owners), so I appoligize for the messy camper.  It's a work in progress, and as you can see it needs a lot of work (as do I).  I hope this doesn't offend anyone...
