I doubt I'll ever give up the mascara but I'm afraid I'm going to miss those rare occasions where I went all out with it and the feel of brushing powder against my cheeks and painting sugary gloss on my lips...
Am I alone in this?
I would rather eat a 9mm then put that crap on my face again. Could I be any more blunt. The only time I had it on was when my mom or sister forced me and only till I was big enough to stop them. However many men wear make up and it doesn't make them less of a man just confusing.

well i love makeup so ur not alone but maybe im just weird as u may think nero but ill still wear makeup maybe more so after i transition
i hated it. only time i wore it is when one of my moms pushy bitchy friends made me wear it for a school dance.
I haven't ever owned any makeup except for costume purposes. Well except for a breif time in middle school where tried to be more girly.
So no not going miss it. I'll probably use make up about same amount after as before and thats just for costuming lol
To each there own. I never really wore it. I tried to be a girl for awhile and fit in while in high school, but I was just more unhappy. So it is not my thing and never plan to wear it again.
Eh. If you like it dude, keep on trucking. I'm not gonna knock you for it, nor see you as less of a man for it.
Personally though, no, I hate that shiz. I'm still trying to block out the times I was forced to wear it.
Nero, there's lots of guys that like wearing makeup. Just look at the members of KISS. ;)
I always hated wearing makeup, but I did love painting my nails, and I do it again now, from time to time. Now that I totally pass as a dude I don't worry about it much. But mascara and lip gloss... forget that. I only ever wore that stuff when I thought I had to because that was just "what girls do". But hey, to each his own, and I think no less of a guy who wears makeup than one who doesn't.
SD
I still have never used it really... Aside from eyeliner...
I'd love to be schooled on it actually cause it would help D:
I have never used make-up. Ever. Yuk!
Nope.
Never knew what to do with it despite trying the tips in beauty mags (hey, I tried hard to be a girl; didn't work!). Best day of my life was realizing I didn't have to even try any more. Very liberating.
Jay
Nope, I'll leave it all to you, Nero. Like the other guys, the few times I was forced to wear it, either parents or peer pressure, are bad memories for me.
Dennis
I don't know what your style is but a lot of punk/alternative guys wear makeup. I've never been a fan of it. I don't know what is what or what goes wear. But i did wear it lastyear for halloween because i dressed up like a rockstar. Thank god for girls though, or i wouldn't have known what to do with it lol
I love eyeliner, and a close second would be eyeshadow. My sister gave me these really cool shimmery powder eyeshadows that get all over everything but look really great. I'm saving them for after transition. I wear eyeliner now, 'cause lots of emoguys do it, but the powder would be too much. I went through a "girly" phase where I wore full makeup, like, every day, but I got tired of it pretty quick. I never liked smearing stuff on my lips, 'cause it's just gross, to me, or on me, and the pancake crap I used to wear I now use only in emergencies (like, skin emergencies where I need to cover up, which are rare). But since I have every intention of wearing eye-stuff after transition, I shan't miss using it. I look forward to it.
I love makeup, but I don't know how to apply it (except lipstick and gloss: easy), probably because nobody in my family wears any, except my sister wears it for dance shows. I don't see why transition must stop anyone. In fact, I don't I'll wear any until I look a little more masculine.
Adrian
I never messed around with it so nope... like many guys i only wore it when forced to.
Sorry to Butt in here but i hate makeup and well i went the other direction. Then of course i live on a farm and drive a horse and buggy.

I've never worn make-up, so I'll never miss it either, just like most of the others.
He who does not like stuff on his face, aka Vincent
I have on makeup rightnow, actually, to smooth out my skin tone. I think it makes me look good. Whenever I tell people I have it on, they don't believe me, so I don't have to worry about looking like a guy with makeup. I just look like a guy with slightly better skin than I actually have. I've also found if I use it everywhere but above my lip, my faint mustache looks darker. I might keep using it as I transition, but I'm not sure yet. I think I'll always like some makeup, especially eyeliner. I've always disliked lip stuff and mascara, but that's probably because my lips and eyelashes are pretty feminine already.
No, I'm wearing make up today-- hello drag.
Halloween + theater.
Anyway, I won't wear make up regularly, and I never have. It's really only a costume thing for me. Always been that way.
As I've said, my goal is to be a gay skinny eddie izzard type. so yeah. I miss my makeup right now.
I absolutely loveeeeee eyeliner. Mainly because it's cool for painting on yourself, and comes off in like three seconds. ;D Not for actually putting around my eyes though.
The closest I come to makeup is chapstick. I don't need makeup even if I liked it. I have been blessed by the no-acne fairy, and skin tone fairy, so I'm good. :)
I admit I have used eyeliner some to thicken the eyebrows trying to make them look more masculine LOL Lately been doing that sometimes at least because my eyebrows are naturally feminine to point people seem to think I pluck them when I don't.
Nope. never wore mkup!
I cant wait to pass 100% then I might dabble in a bit of guyliner.. as I think it looks awesome!

i wore make-up for a few months in high school when i tried forcing myself to be a "normal girl". i hated every minute of it, so no make-up for me haha

You don't have to miss it, Nero. If you want to keep wearing makeup, do it, transition is about being free not trading repressions. When do we see you in your Boy George do? ;)
I only ever wear make-up when my acne breaks out horribly..then I might put some on to cover up the acne. Other than those times, I don't wear it. I'm not fond of make-up and I never got into playing with it. Oh yeah..I forgot I wear black eye shadow when I dress goth which is often.
everday wear for me is mascara and if i have a blemish, sometimes i cover that, sometimes add eyeliner.
but there are rare occasions when i would go out dressed up (in guy attire though) and id do the whole nine yards complete with blush and shimmery lip gloss. and i do enjoy putting it on. also enjoy putting it on other people lol.
I have always despised makeup. with a passion.
even when I felt like i had to.. I was so easily influenced by my peers... i cant remember the times girls have asked me to wear makeup, or style my hair differently in middle and highschool... it was just ridiculous.. I HATE MAKEUP!!!!!! I HATE ALL THAT GIRL CRAP!!!!!! :(
oh and I feel for you Godot... I had some moderate acne in HS so i felt like i had to cake on foundation, concealer and powder.. i felt like icouldnt even go outside without makeup on.. now it's just like.. what's the point? why did i make myself do all that BS??
i had to wear my hair long too all my life.. now i got it cut short short but still fem/androgynous in public.. i am a little tiny bit more free..
I'm with those who never really figured out what to do with most makeup. But I'll probably still use eyeliner occasionally, and maybe foundation to even out the skin tone, even after transition. Personally I think guys look really hot with eyeliner. I wish more of them wore it. :icon_eyebrow:,

As stated in another thread, I have no intention of giving up the whole shebang. It might be strange and quirky, but that's me. :P
i threw out my black nail varnish :icon_eek: what a pillock
Hell Nero, some of the sexiest guys I'd LOOOOOVE to know wear make-up - Jared Leto for example, or Ville Valo of HIM (major swooooooooon). I think a bit of dramatic eye make-up on a guy brings so many good things into the world.
