Title: Thin skin and HRT
Post by: Mari on October 26, 2008, 03:04:24 AM
I know that HRT thinns skin and makes it smoother, but on some body
parts, particulary hands, i have quite thin skin. I use hand creams, mosturisers
and stuff quite frequently, and wear gloves and stuff but what made me
frustarted was that it seems that only older ladies have this problem, and
i am only 20. So i am wondering what will happen with my hands when i turn 50?
I think i am doing everything by the book (applying creams, wear gloves, avoid
harsh soaps) and still my skin is very thin. Anyone else has this problem?  :-\

I think it's a genetic thing. I have always had thin skin but the good news for you is that it
is not any worse now than when I was 20. Just do what you've been doing and you will be fine.

I might also add that since starting HRT my hands and the rest of my body is MUCH
softer and smoother.
