Title: Have told my wife I need to explore being TG; We are moving to Columbus
Post by: mtfbuckeye on November 04, 2008, 06:35:14 PM
Hello everyone...

I'm a married guy with a kid in his 30s, and I've told my wife (who has known since the beginning that I had some gender issues) that I need to start seeing a therapist to start sorting out my TG feelings. For now, she's sticking with me, thank god.

We're planning a move back to Columbus, and I'm very interested in talking to people living there (and anyone else, really).

Nice to be here, everyone!

hey fellow buckeye! being born a buckeye is the worst possible fate for a TS unfortunately.
I'm Nero, nice to meet you. <shakes hand>

QuoteThanks Amanda! I'd love to talk sometime. My wife told me that she doesn't mind the idea of being in a "non-traditional" relationship, but also that she can't promise that she would be able to handle me going "all the way" with transition.

Sure, PM me when your post count allows.. I think it's five or something.

Give her lots of time and understanding and do everything in your power to bring
her along (if that's what you want) and she will. I think a lot of us try
to do this too fast (myself included).

mtfbuckeye  welcome. You are really lucky gal that your wife is sticking with you for now. I have been married for 21 years and my wife will undoubtedly ask me to leave when she finds out. I base this solely on our religious background and I have given here some test questions to test the water so to speak.
