I was having trouble with my binder and my chest--still am. I just can't get comfortable in it today for some reason. So I went to my mom all down looking for comfort/a hug. She asked what was wrong and I told her my chest was bothering me. She said, "Because you can't get it to flatten out enough?" Surprised, I said yes, and she said, "Well, I can sympathize. I used to have to hide parts of me, too. It's uncomfortable, but you just have to do it!"
Then my stepmom came in and asked, "Do what?"
My mom said, "Hide parts of you." Then she went on to talk about flattening out boobs and hiding one's "wangdoodle". (I swear that's the word she used.) Then she started to talk about how the worst part was trying to hide one's "wangdoodle bobs". By that time I was ROFLing and not even thinking about my damn chest.
It's good having a parent who gets it, even if she did go the other way. I feel better.
OMG, wangdoodle bobs...HAHAHA!!!
trans parent as in see through. Oh nevermind.
Thats cool that she gets the picture though.

So I was just sitting here and my mom came over and asked if she could interrupt. I stood up and she hugged me and started telling me how she'll always take care of me and love me and such. She said, "You're my child. You're my daughter. Even if you don't want to think of yourself as my daughter, you're my child, you're my--my son."
She's avoided calling me that in any form or fashion since I came out to her. I think I might cry.
