I constantly read about transsexuals who turn to the sex trade to earn a living. When i hear such stories i'm always very sad. I have to admit that i do have a problem with the sex trade. I have moral issues around it. However i also realize that for some of my sisters there is no other way to make a living. And i have a bigger moral problem with a society that drives people to that than i do with prostitution itself. I further realize that a bigger percentage of my black t-sisters turn to the sex trade than my white t-sisters. That too deeply saddens me. I have been fortunate. I never had to turn to the sex trade and that is a good thing because i could not have made it in that industry.
