Cannon has been described by family members as transsexual. Cannon's MySpace page shows Cannon's picture and describes Cannon as a 22-year-old female. A partial quote from the MySpace page reads "Hatin
on me will make the situation worse. . . ."
DeLee family members are well aware of calls for DeLee to be charged with a hate crime. They are also aware that a hate crime increases the penalty should he be found guilty.
