Title: Day of Rememberance
Post by: funnygrl on November 24, 2008, 12:10:15 PM
Last night here in Phx Arizona I went to my first "Transgender Day Of Rememberance". It was a night I won't forget, I met so many new people throughout the local LGBT community here.I heard all 31 names & was sickened by the accounts, the details of their deaths. For the first time in as long as I can remember I felt apart of a larger, more human family. All of you, please take good care of yourselves,be aware of your surroundings & go by you're gut instints.I luv you all & I am honored to be apart of this community =0*

Group hug?

The thing that gets me the most about this, "day of remembrance," is that each and every single one of us has been so close to being on that ballot, as either a victim of a hate crime or a victim of suicide more than once too.

Every.  Single.  One of us.
