Hi All,
I used to frequent this board ages ago and it was a big help in my life. *hugs* btw
I'm hoping you can help me again.
It's been six months since I've seen Dr. Brassard for my GRS surgery. I have found that the clitoral hood is closing around the clit and it's now almost impossible to have any access. It feels as if a constant pressure is being applied to the area. It's almost as if the hood is sealing around the clit from top to bottom as it heals.
I have been seeing my GP frequently for follow up visits and she assures me that everything is healing fine. I am having problems with granulation tissue growing in but she's been treating that with the silver nitrate.
I talked with Dr. Brassard's office and He even has asked for pictures of the surgical site. His response was simple.
"there is a contracted ring of epithelium that is easy to release.Timing is usually one year after SRS. Massages will help soften the tissues and help with sensation."
I replied asking for clarification and even what kind of massages he's referring to. I am still waiting for a response. I have even googled what he mentioned but there is little information on this.
I understand that there is a lot of healing to go still but this is concerning to me. Have you heard of anything like this before?
:)
