I loveee eggs but my favorit way to cook them is in a basket. Basically cutting out a circle out of the bread and buttering both sides of it, and cooking the egg in the middle. I love it because it fries the bread at the same time and then you can dunk the cutouts in the yolk. yummmm.
Audrey
I love eggs. its hard to pick one specific type though. I chose Omelet.
Depends on what you're serving them with, though I must admit that the eggy in a basket has been pretty popular since I watched V is for Vendetta, who has a whole rap about them.
But sunny side up with home fries and some bacon (Bacon is the crack cocaine of meat) and a pancake. Yumm-O.
And I like Eggs Benedict a lot also. Especially if they serve it with bacon.
And the whole poached eggs on toast, or even better, waffles, and if there is bacon with that, how awesome is that?
In fact, what I like most about eggs is that the tend to serve bacon with them.
I very seldom eat eggs but I do love a good old fashioned Western Sandwich, like fired omelet with little chunks of ham green peppers and onions on toast with lots of butter.
Cindy
OMG Tekla, don't even get me started on bacon. I agree with you 100%. Bacon is the BEST.
Audrey
bacon is just legal crack
The only time I tend to eat eggs is hard boiled and sliced up into my noodles. Yummy
All of the above, but you left out poached and soft-boiled. And then there are Danish eggs, devilled eggs, marble eggs...
My favourite is not on your list. I like them soft poached.
I tend to prefer my eggs more on the soft side - boiled, fried (not over easy), scrambled.
Oh I saw this great way to eat asparagus. Take a very soft boiled egg, put a drop of vinegar in it and a small nob of butter. It creates something like a hollandaise sauce. Dip your asparagus into it mmmmmm
Only Ellieka and me for Omelet
OMG omelet lovers come on show yourselves . I love an omelet mixed with as many diced peppers and veggies you can find.
Just heavenly

I like to mix Lowery's seasoned salt in while I'm whipping them then stuff them with ham or sausage and cheese. Tasty!
Fried with the yolk broken and cooked "over-hard" is actually my favorite. But since that wasn't an option, I choose scrambled.

I prefer to refer to bacon as a cullinary afrodisiac. I can be completely unhungry. Then I'll get a whiff of bacon and I'll be slipping in a pool of my own drool.
Oh fried pork products, aggggggghhhhhhgggggggg.
SOFT BOILED with rye toast broken up in it yummy yummy yummy
Omelet is my favorite. With lots of cheese and veggies or potatoes.
Just say no to pork! No sausage or bacon for me.
Z
I'm the egg king. Fried, scrambled, boiled, my eggs are legendary. :D
Audrey,
You did not leave room for me to vote. Which would be 'Yes'. :D
Mostly 3 Sunny side up on pancakes with real butter and maple syrup. Side of bacon crisp and loaded hash browns. Also sunny side up on hash browns with smoked chipoltle hot sauce.
And I also love Eggs Benedict and Denver Omelets.
I could never be a veggie. I love eggs, anyway possible.
Janet

I couldn't have said it better myself. They are best when garnished with eggs.
This thread makes my mouth water. :D
Scrambled w/hashbrowns. bacon. sausage
I never ate eggs..Im a pure vegetarian..
I'm going to have to go with "none of the above" to be honest.
I like to have my eggs cooked thankyouverymuch.
(that said, I like both scrambled and omelet styles with lots of cheese)
Scrambled, with ham and hot sauce on toast; Bennies with crab; poached on toast; fried up with corned beef hash; boiled, with toast strips to dip in it; I like my eggs any way, probably I would even like green eggs and ham.
Gonna try that basket thing now. With worcestershire sauce, I'm thinkin.

All right, an omelet lover's club! Maybe we can get our own special section on the forum
I prefer to buy eggs from local farmers whose chickens are free range. Commercial farms don't treat their chickens well at all!
Z
i'm with chris on this
In an ideal world, I'd like my eggs to be in my in my ovaries, lol. ;D
But with regard to eating, I like eggs scrambled with a touch of pepper and salt. Usually on toast. :)
I don't. I'm alektorophobic. I only like my eggs in cakes and cookies.

Are we limiting ourselves to just chicken eggs? No duck, goose or ostrich? No Cadbury's Eggs?
oooh Cadbury eggs.... forgot about those...yummy
hmm? cadbury eggs. not sure how that would work out trying to fry one in a piece of toast.

Even a Cadbury Egg isn't good with bacon. By itself, however...

I prefer my eggs unfertilized, thanks.
:) I knew some bright girl had said that. Emme's one of the brighter ones. :)
Over-easy and for the same reasons as Audrey, I love to soak the egg into the toast and eat. As for pork. :icon_redface: I absolutely adore it, sausage patties, ham, bacon (thick and crisp) sausage links, pork loin, pork chops, Boston Butts smoke-bar-be-qued dry or wet with excellent sauce!!
It's, no doubt, that southern, celtic heritage of mine. Embarrassing and perhaps not the best thing for my arteries (which is why I don't eat it often) but scrumptious like nothing else in the world!!

Thanks, tekla. This post made me laugh, genuinely laugh. And today, I really needed that.
My eggs? ova-ezzy, fried onnins, "Cheese, grommet", home fries, lotsa 'fee and toast.
Oh, and hot sauce, mmm.
haha is that "cheese, grommet" as in wallace and grommet.
Taco omelette... with sour cream and gaugamole.
Did anybody mention 'basted'?
Basically, you do sunny-side-up in an egg pan with a lid, but you throw in a teaspoon of water and put the lid on. The steam cooks the whites on top. Done right, they are the perfect over-easys, with cooked whites and warm-but-still-runny yolks.
=K
I don`t eat eggs. I like mine to be Tofu & Nutritional yeast.

Yes, Audrey. I love my 'toons. Though I have only rarley seen wallace and gromit, (could you tell, I mis-spelled Gromit?), I love cheese, literally and figuratively. So I kinda stole the line up as an all purpose catch phrase. Kind of a cheesey thing to do, I know,,,
