Title: Does spiro stunt growth?
Post by: Princess_Jasmine on December 06, 2008, 11:01:56 PM
So I am staying on a low dosage of spiro for now to stop anymore secondary male characteristics from puberty developing. I do have a question however. Does this mean that my growth in height will be stopped as well? I am 19 years old if that helps. Also, my therapist told me it would stop my height but somehow that just sounds bogus to me. Anyone have any opinions or information? Im on a low dosage right now of spiro.

It is highly unlikely that the low or even a high dosage will stop growth in any way. It may change the direction of growth but you have already reached a point where you are nearly finihsed with growing in height; enjoy the fact that you can start your transition at a good age.

It can possibly reduce your ultimate height, but it will not just stop you from growing.

I used to be 5' 9".
last time I went to the doctor, I was 5' 6".
my hands used to be bigger than my Love's.
Now they are way smaller.
Like 3/4 of an inch shorter than hers.
