Title: Post Top Surgery
Post by: Jay on December 14, 2008, 09:25:07 AM
Just a quick question for you post op guys.

I was wondering around my house yesterday with just a t-shirt on and after a few hours my nipples got really sore. I have had this before when I ran (boobs where smaller) with nothing on except for a top. I think its called Joggers Nipple.

I was just wondering if this happens after the top surgery or not?

Cheers

Jay

Nope, I don't get it. Had it once or twice before, but not since surgery.

Yes.

It's a weird raw/new skin nerve reconnecting thing.  Totally normal.

How long has it been since your surg?  Are you still wearing the gauze on your nipples?  If not, you might want to for another couple days.  Doing so does no harm and will keep the abrasion down on your nipples a bit.

No I haven't had surgery yet. I was just wondering if I would experience the same thing after surgery thats all.

Yep, runners nipples are common with or without boobs.  A good tip (no pun intended) that works well:  Put "dot" band-aids over each nipple when working out.
