Okay we've had US states.
How many Australian states or Canadian provinces can you name in five minutes.
Australia has six states and two mainland territories.
Canada has 10 provinces and three territories.
So I blew Australia -- but I can get all the Canadian provinces and territories if you allow a few attempts to spell ... ah, how does it go again? ... None-Of-It? Noony-Vat? Nunkommderheidenhei-land?
I cant get a single one, but I can get every country and capitol in Europe...and I live in the US!
And thats spelling everything correct etc.
OK. I got all six states of the Australia. And the territories.
I know all in the Canada but I cannot spell one province and one territory.
I forgot to admit when I originally started this post that with the Canadian provinces I forgot Prince Edward Island and Alberta and with the territories I knew it was Nuna-something but I didn't quite get it.
Some hints that helped me remember the Canadian provinces.
Quebec and British Columbia - well Duh!
I once worked for a guy who was a Canadian political reporter in Ottawa which is in O_____.
The movie "The Shipping News" was set in ____.
In Carly Simon's song You're so Vain. "You flew to ___ ___ to see a total eclipse of the sun."
Donna from the West Wing could have been born in ______ instead of Wisconsin
Corner Gas, a really fun Canadian sitcom, is set in _____.
And somhow I remembered the other one - Well I'm not gonna give you all ten.
Hope that helps.
