Title: New Sweater Dress
Post by: Constance on December 17, 2008, 04:00:55 PM
So while my wife and I were walking through the mall (mostly to be out of the cold on our way home from dinner), we saw this cowl-neck sweater dress that was just adorable. Not quite as cool as the black and grey striped one I saw at Torrid, but considerably cheaper.

We bought it in my size, though it should fit her, too.

I tried it on, and it clings nicely. But, I'll need a gaff or other tucking method as the silhouette of a certain part of my body is clearly visible.

But, darn it's cute.

I buy some of my club clothes in Torrid, getting kind of on the risque side there aren't you?

Actually, the sweater dress I saw there was rather tame, for Torrid.

Tame at Torrid, seems out of place somehow.

Well, tame when compared to the other items in the store.

Yeah, I'll check it out - Torrid - when I go to the mall in a bit.  Though I hate malls this time of year, so most likely I'll walk past and think - wow, way too many people, unless there is some huge sale, and then I brave it.  But stuff is already cheep, so after Xmas it ought to be awesome.

Pretty, but the stripes don't work for me, I'm waiting for this one to go on sale

Looks nice, except for the hand-wash bit.

I love hand wash.  I wash most of my nice stuff by hand.  Really, if you do it right, and block it right, almost anything can be hand washed.  "It's a good thing."

What do you mean by "block it right?"

Blocking - in sweaters, and sweaterdresses, is all about laying it out in the correct shape when its wet so that when (as) it drys, it keeps that shape - hopefully, the shape it came in.
