Hi everyone. I was hoping to get some advice on a good endocrinologist in WA state in the Seattle/Tacoma area. As someone who is also a diabetic and very overweight I've decided I need to do more than self medicate for health reasons so I am hoping to find out if you guys have any advice on a knowledgeable one around me that has dealt with this. My normal doctor is surprisingly supportive of me but really has never encountered this "issue" before.

You'd be better off with another physician than an endrochronologist because they can treat your whole health and fitness, especially if you're looking to go on hrt being overweight and having diabetes. And there are a number of trans-experienced or -friendly phyisicans listed on the various support groups Websites.
Do you have a therapist? An experienced therapist should help you with the selection of a physician, and any physician and probably also an endochronologist, will require a letter from a therapist to start hrt. It's described in the standard of care for transpeople.
I have a doctor and I've been with him for almost a decade now so I don't plan on changing even if he admits he is not experienced with this. He is monitoring other things though to make sure I stay healthy.

Then your doctor should recommend an endochronologist for any tests. You shouldn't have to ask anyone, it's their responsibility. Or are you taking or planning to take hrt outside of your doctor's knowledge? And you want an endochronologist who won't inform your doctor? They will want to know where to send the results of any tests, and likely want to know why you didn't go through your doctor.
Sorry for being unclear. My primary doctor knows everything now (I gave him a letter a few weeks back and he was pretty supportive) though right now I'm self medicating with the estrogen patch and one of the safer anti-testorone medications. My doctor is willing to refer me to an endocrinologist who has experience in this to monitor my health.
