Muay Thai kickboxing, scuba diving, history and writing.

I also play an extreme game of Risk. Ha.

I wish I could get into something like cars, old cars, but it's never caught my interest.

I do photography, and I try to use my free time to read, write, bike and hike, but I can do photography on the last two, so I guess it counts.

I play guitar and drums. Drawing used to be a big hobby, but I just don't have much inspiration lately. I go to the Boxing gym year round to work out and spar, but I don't have the "chin" to actually fight. I go Snowboarding when there is snow, and in the summer months I'm into cars old and new. and lastly good ol'video games when there is nothing else ta do.(mostly guitar hero DDR and action games)

I don't really have hobbies as such.
I like to read and write, and spend most of my solitary time doing that. And then I like to meet up with nice people, eat, drink, see films and plays and chat. With the right people, there is nothing better to do than wonder around places. I also like going to the free museums and mooching around graveyards. I used to act, but I don't anymore.
They don't seem like hobbies though, because they are integrated with everything else.

I'm wanting a new hobby, i aint getting bored with the ones i have i just want to try something new.... Any suggestions?

My Main hobbies are:

Clubbing - I try and attend all the big nights where i live

DIY - I love building things, will try everything once. I love welding, its so dangerous and cool lol

I also enjoy shooting (targets and vermine only)

But my main one, the one that once im doing it everything fades away, its just me and the dub's is................ DJ'in!!! I love it.

When im at the decks, vinyl's are spinning, im in a world of my own, nothing matters, nothing can hurt me its brilliant. Although im quite upset at the moment, i had my equipment stolen about 4 months ago from my house! there was about 2 grands worth. funny thing is they must of tried stealing my in excess of 1000 vinyls, they only got them to the top of stairs then decided to leave them lol. AND I CANT AFFORD ANYMORE!!!!

Also ya gotta try Airsoft - so much fun, running around like james bond lol, love it.

I've always liked the idea of designing crazy cloths; my early sketchbooks are filled with it. But sewing and so on? Attempted it. :icon_dizzy: Too hard. Much envy to you, and good luck with your designs.

Music, mostly guitar and keyboards. I write music from time to time. I dabble in poetry and short stories, but recently started a longer book.

The problems with the above is that the creative process, for me, is quite random. I'll go for a long time without doing much other than just turning things over in my head. And then suddenly, I'll have a burst of creativity. Depression can also harm my creative process.

I like hiking and biking, too.

Most of my stuff is not 'net ready; it's on paper and my scanner hates me. I'm hoping to do some recording later this year, though.

I think links to sites that have pictures, or vids or stuff like that is ok, I like to articles all the time, its linking to commercial sites that tends to be a more obscure deal.

had a reply from susan...

embedding youtube videos is ok.

personally i would avoid linking direct too your songs due to copyright.

I wouldnt dream of doing some of the things i did when i ws a teen now.

My hobby is hanging out on forums all day.

Other than that, I love writing and critiquing writing--prose, poetry, essays, whatever. Also, I love:

reading comics
drawing/writing comics
reading non-fiction
discussing philosophy, theology, and social issues
the internet
drinking beer

Sometimes all at once.

I've not many hobbies, I like to play around on the internet and research a bunch of useless stuff for hours at a time  ;D.  I am fairly interested in the transhumanist sites, and consider myself a futurist of sorts, but even there I have not devoted much effort in producing any sites or even engaging in forums.  I do find myself on Yahoo Answers from time to time, but it gets boring after a while.  I love RPGs, I used to play numerous pen and paper games when younger (almost always having a female character :)) but have since migrated over to MMORPGs.  EverQuest consumed quite a bit of my time but now I favor World of Warcraft.

I guess I am a geek, but outside of computer related stuffs I don't do much.  As of late I have been doing a lot of dance revolution in an attempt to lose some weight and have actually been having fun with it. other than that I don't get much physical activity lol.   I'm more of a dreamer than anything else.  Hmm, I like to meditate every now and then, but even there I am not an enthusiast.

oh and one of the things i'm really interested in is urban architecture   , ie dead malls because there just so interesting because where i live basically it's a treasure trove of abandoned places, i mean hell i found a map from the library of virginia that listed the dead cities & villages in virginia, and where my uncle lives in southwestern virginia there's just so many of them, here's two examples where my dad lived it' s in bedford county just east of smith mountain lake called moneta a dead village, and another one south east of rocky mount where my mom's from it's hafway between rocky mount and martinsville & it was a corprete town that is a town owned  by a rug company when the rug company went under the town ceases to exist.

Lucky you, there ought to be a lot more dead malls by this time next year.  But I do like the old ghost towns in the mining areas in California and Nevada.

Yes, I play viola and piano. I'd play Schubert, Sonata "Arpeggione" only you would have to hear one part at a time because I can't accompany myself. lol
