Hello, I was wondering if anyone here has used chantix to quit smoking? I plan on using it, but am a little worried about the side effects. Especially the emotional rollercoaster. I already have that at times being on hrt! Any advice would be great, thanks.
It worked for me as long as I was going to the classes, the Kaiser was having. I did not notice any side effects. But I went back after. I have tried and failed at every attempt to stop. But I get trying. This time it is the gum. Next time, maybe the batches or the lozenges.
Good Luck and don't give up.
Janet
I haven't tried any of the gum, patches, pills or anything else they have out there these days. I usually just quit "cold turkey" so to speak. It works so well, I've quit a couple of times! I would do some research and maybe consult a professional. I wish you good luck with the quitting. *puff* I know how hard it is. *puff*

Lol thanks for the advice. Ive tried everything from cold turkey to zyban. Im allergic to the adhesive on the patch, the gum an lozenge make my throat fell as if its on fire, zyban gave me a seizure, and cold turkey turns me into a raving psychopath! My mom used chantix over a year ago and still not smoking. She was 2 packs a day, plus she would wake in the middle of the night to go and have a smoke. Im almost there now.
