Title: crazy moods
Post by: jonjon on January 13, 2009, 03:27:54 PM
I'm having some really crazy moods today.

I started off annoyed cos i couldn't find any clean pants this morning. Turns out they were hidden amongst my other clothes. Then i caught on a cheery mood as i made to clean out the entire puppy unit. It meant i had myself and me, all day, to just clean. That makes me happy boy.

Then i get home and i'm just tired. And since then i've felt really gay, really lonely, really gothic, i've had a new romantic mood, a writing mood, a depressed mood. I'd had thoughts of being fed up that i'm trans, the crap i've gotta cope with and all, a horny mood. I want hormones... I NEED hormones... Oh and death... apparently i just want to die  ::)

And it's only 9:20pm and i want to go to bed.

I think my estrogen levels are battling with my testosterone levels. I wish they'd leave me out of it though >_>

Ugh, I hate those moments.

Estrogen is really annoying, isn't it?

dunno about oestrogen, but that sounds like male puberty to me - needing to be alone, pining, angry and horny....pretty much sums up the testosterone experience.

Really? I kind of went through the same experiences. Interesting...

Perhaps it's really not all that different?

It's all the same, a flood of testosterone - whether from testes or needles.

Sie's just making a logical assumption.

I don't feel like it's at all logical.

Testes produce testosterone 24/7/365 for your entire life.  Puberty is much more gradual.  Testosterone via needle is instantaneous and rushed puberty.  The difference is huge.

The shared experience is from a limited (and natal, yes?) viewpoint.  It's a privileged viewpoint.  Those with privilege should not be discrediting the experience of others who do not have it.

Sie wasn't trying to do that. Sie was simply trying to offer a possible explanation for Jonjon's moods. I do the same a lot in the mtf section. I just share what I know about the female experience.

you're missing my point, nero.  The effects and rate at which they occur of injecting testosterone are vastly different than if you have it being created in your balls.  To say this is the same is not correct.

Puberty is not very gradual, testosterone production goes up by 10/15/20x what it was before... it is a crazy, crazy rush. So the effects are pretty similar.

Really?  So, start of male puberty to full beard.  3 years?  4?  5?
Mine?  10 months.

And exactly how big is a biodude's penis?  Yeah, it's different.  Please stop claiming otherwise.

Nero, that motive creates stigma, shame, etc.  Clearly, FTMs are not the same as those born biologically male.  Statements such as this are dangerous.  I find these comments to be demeaning, not helpful.

It is different.

But there is a similarity, the bio-male does experience a sudden rush of testosterone which creates anger, a need to be alone, and horniness and so it would seem does the trans male.

It just seems like something we have in common, seemed to be worth sharing.

Testosterone and puberty were discussed. Sie has both and thought she'd chime in.
Sie is no endocrinologist and hasn't claimed to be. I offer my estrogen experiences all the time. I answer questions about breast development and the like.
Certainly not my thought to demean anyone, nor is it hir's.

Sorry, but the rush of testosterone creating anger is a testosterone therapy MYTH.

Please get your facts straight and stop perpetuating rumors that hold the transmale community down.

I have been on both sides of the fence and around a long time. I doubt hormones have anything to do with mood. It is more based on stress, sleep, food, exercise, self confidence, and your own philosophy.
